Whether you call Lake of the Ozarks home, you’re visiting for the weekend, or you’re considering making a move to the Lake, Smarter Move Real Estate Group powered by Ozark Realty has your guide to some of the biggest events happening this weekend.
Friday, September 11: Hot Summer Nights on the Bagnell Dam Strip
Kick off the weekend with Hot Summer Nights on the historic Bagnell Dam Strip in Lake Ozark. This month’s theme is “Salute to Our Heroes.”
The free cruise-in welcomes cars, trucks and motorcycles and brings together great food, shopping, family activities and plenty of automotive eye candy. The official 2026 schedule lists the event from 5:00–9:30 PM, rain or shine.
If you’ve never experienced the Strip during Hot Summer Nights, this is a great opportunity to enjoy one of Lake Ozark’s signature community events.
Friday Night: Whiskey Myers at Ozarks Amphitheater
Country and Southern rock fans have a BIG reason to head to Camdenton Friday night.
Whiskey Myers, with The Record Company, takes the stage at Ozarks Amphitheater on Friday, September 11, with showtime scheduled for 7:00 PM.
There’s something special about an outdoor concert in the Ozarks, and this should be one of the standout entertainment events of the weekend.
Saturday, September 12: Lake of the Ozarks Air Show
Saturday brings one of the weekend’s biggest family events—the Lake of the Ozarks Air Show at Camdenton Memorial-Lake Regional Airport.
The event runs from 8:00 AM–3:30 PM and features aerial performances, military and civilian aircraft, static displays, veteran recognition, vendors, food and children’s activities.
Scheduled attractions include the MiG-17F, AC-47 “Spooky,” B-25 “Show Me,” T-6 aircraft, KC Flight Formation Team and aerobatic performers.
Parking is listed at $10 per vehicle, and the official event information recommends bringing lawn chairs or blankets. A rain date is scheduled for Sunday, September 13.
Saturday: Lick Branch Cove Poker Run
Prefer spending Saturday on the water? The Lick Branch Cove Poker Run is also scheduled for September 12.
It’s another reminder of what makes the Lake of the Ozarks lifestyle so unique—our weekends aren’t limited to what’s happening on land. Boating, waterfront restaurants, coves and community events are all part of life here.
Live Music All Around the Lake
The weekend entertainment doesn’t stop with the major events.
Friday and Saturday bring live performances to popular Lake-area destinations including Backwater Jack’s, Bear Bottom Resort, Franky & Louie’s, Dog Days and The Encore, among others.
From acoustic country and classic rock to high-energy party bands, you’ll have plenty of options for turning a day on the Lake into a night out.
Sunday, September 13: Charity Golf
Wind down the weekend on the golf course with Franky & Louie’s 11th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Deer Chase Golf Club.
Lake of the Ozarks isn’t only about boating. With beautiful golf courses, waterfront dining, entertainment and year-round recreation, there are countless ways to enjoy the area beyond the shoreline.
And Get Ready—BikeFest Is Next!
This weekend is only the beginning.
Lake of the Ozarks BikeFest 2026 runs September 15–20, bringing motorcycle enthusiasts from across the country to the Lake.
The 20th annual event stretches across multiple Lake-area communities and includes scenic rides, live entertainment, participating restaurants and bars, vendors, a Passport Run and much more.
If you’re visiting this weekend and staying into next week, expect the Lake to start rumbling!
More Than a Weekend Destination
Weekends like this are exactly why so many people fall in love with Lake of the Ozarks.
You can start your morning watching airplanes soar over Camdenton, spend the afternoon on the water, enjoy dinner overlooking the Lake and finish your evening listening to live music—all without leaving the area.
And for those of us fortunate enough to live here, the Lake isn’t simply a vacation destination. It’s home.
If you’ve been dreaming about owning a lakefront home, condo with a boat slip, vacation property, investment property or full-time residence at Lake of the Ozarks, we’d love to help you find the right one.
